Phyllis was known as a true social butterfly and the life of any gathering. Her laughter and enthusiasm brought joy to family and friends alike, and she embraced every opportunity to celebrate life's special moments. Above all, she treasured her family, who were the center of her world and the source of her greatest pride and happiness.
She is survived by her devoted children: Linda Brickwood, Larry McGee, Robert McGee (Sheree), and Marianne Turner. Her legacy continues through her loving grandchildren: Lisa Cronin (Daniel), Amanda Jefferies (Scott), Jason McGee (Melisa), Elizabeth Cicala (Daniel), Alisha Turner (Murray Hill), and Sheena Melanson (Ben Lines). Phyllis was also a proud great-grandmother to twelve great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandmother to one. Her remaining sister, Edna Avey, along with many nieces, nephews, and an extended family and friends, carry forward her memory and the values she held dear.
Phyllis was predeceased by her beloved husband, Earl "Ike" McGee, who passed in 2014; her sons-in-law, James Brickwood and Robert Turner; her parents, Frederick and Elizabeth Saunders; as well as her two sisters and ten brothers.
Friends and relatives are invited to join the family on Friday, March 20, 2026, at Brock and Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock (519-539-0004) from 10 to 11 am, with the service taking place in the chapel at 11 am.
