Robert A. Baird, born October 5, 1941, in Woodstock, Ontario, passed peacefully on May 2, 2026. Predeceased by his parents, Thomas and Hazel, and son Graham (1966). Beloved husband of Jacque (nee Watters) for over 61 years, adored Dad and father-in-law to Bob Jr. and Kerry, and loving great-grandfather to Presley and Ryder. Grandfather to Robbie and Karlie.

Bob was proud to be a purchasing manager at King Truck and RWF Bron. Bob enjoyed playing slo-pitch and hockey into his 70’s. He coached for many years in the Woodstock Minor Ball Association and was a member of the Woodstock Minor Ball Executive. Bob had a dry, quick wit and a hatred of haircuts. He enjoyed classic rock, a good crossword, classic movies, the Detroit Red Wings, and an ice-cold beer on Saturday at the Navy Club. He will be missed by his sister Marilyn (John) and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and family from the Baird, Watters, and Stone families.

A testament to the man Bob was the over 50-year friendship with Ted and Rose Roi, Ron and Judy Ferrell, and Tim and Mary Bergman. 

Please join us for a Celebration of Life for Bob, Sunday, May 31, 2026, Oxford County Navy Club, 959 James St, Woodstock, from 1 to 4 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Sick Kids Hospital.
