Robert Douglas Watt, passed away after a long illness on August 4, 2025, at the age of 70. Born on January 23, 1955 to Robert and Kathleen Watt in Ingersoll, Ontario
Doug's legacy will be carried on by his loving family. He was married to his devoted wife, Jane (née Davidson) Watt, since 2008, sharing their lives and hearts as partners. He leaves behind his cherished children: Angela (Jon) Hatto and Kyle (Kayt) Watt, and their mother Deb (Logan) Watt. He embraced his role as a stepparent with love and warmth, welcoming Jeffery (Patti) Killam, Kari (Ira) Bush, and Jim (Tasha) Killam into his family. Doug was also a proud grandfather to nine grandchildren: Brandon, Liam, Ethan, Avery, Ben, Jonas, Evelyn, Macklyn, and Hazel, who brought him immense joy.
He is survived by his siblings: Dave Watt, Bonnie (Chuck) Thorndyke, Lori (Derek) Stormink, Ron (Connie) Watt, Donna Watt, and Helen Watt. He will be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
Doug was known for his vibrant personality, a true jokester who could lighten any room he entered. He had a profound love for people, cherishing connections and creating moments of laughter that friends and family will fondly remember. In addition to his playful nature, he developed a passion for flight simulators, where he often could be found immersing himself in the skies from the comfort of his home.
A graveside service will be held in his honour at the Anglican Cemetery, located at 396 Vansittart Avenue, Woodstock, on August 30, 2025, at 2:00 PM.
