Roger Stanley Arthurs, born May 18, 1952, passed away peacefully on May 9, 2026, at Woodstock Hospital. He was a man whose passions illuminated his life, finding joy in the wonders of the natural world through his love of rocks, crystals, and fossils. Known for his boundless curiosity, Rogers pursued many courses throughout his lifetime, continually expanding his knowledge and nurturing his fascination with the earth’s ancient history. He especially cherished the thrill of digging for dinosaurs, a pursuit that brought him endless delight and connected him deeply to the mysteries of the past.

Roger was a devoted family man who faced profound losses with grace and strength. His late wife, Darlene, whom he loved dearly, passed away in 2024. He also mourned the loss of his daughter Jess. Surviving Roger is his beloved mother, Hilda, and his children Ruth, Kevin and Corinne (Brian). He took great pride and joy in his grandchildren, Jordan, Violet, Liam, Samantha, Selena, Nate, Conner and Late Breanna, who were treasures to him and sources of immense happiness.

Roger Stanley Arthurs leaves behind a legacy marked by intellectual curiosity, a profound appreciation for the earth’s natural treasures, and a deep love for his family. His memory will be treasured by all who knew him, reminding us of a life well-lived and a spirit forever connected to the wonders of the world.

The family invites friends and relatives to join them at the Woodstock Navy Veterans Club, 969 James St., Woodstock, on Friday, June 5 from 1 to 4 pm for a celebration of Roger’s life.
