Survived by brothers Allen (Helen) and Gordon (Susan), niece Amanda (Duncan), nephew Andrew (Rachel), great niece Elcy, great nephew Nate, niece Kathryn (Spencer), great niece Lina, niece Shelby (Tim), and niece Taylor.
Roger attended Elementary school at Huron Park P.S. and D.M. Sutherland (Woodstock), and Montcalm High School (London) and Windsor High School of Commerce, from which he graduated with honors in 1975. He then studied to be a CGA at St. Clair College (Windsor) while working at CN Rail.
Roger was a very good athlete playing minor softball and minor hockey and swimming in competitions with the YMCA in Woodstock and excelled with the Woodstock Weightlifting Association with whom he set and held a provincial competition record for a number of years with a 130 lbs lift in the Clean and Jerk lift as a 13 yr old in the 99lb weight class.
The family would like to express their gratitude to Ron Dunn and all the wonderful staff of Victoria Avenue Rest Home of Windsor, where Roger spent a large portion of his adult life.

A graveside service will be taking place Tuesday, June 17, 2025, at 12:00 pm at Oxford Memorial Park, Woodstock.
