Ronald "Ron" Walter George Gregor, age 100, born February 24, 1925, of Cedarview Senior Living, Woodstock, Ontario, lived a life marked by kindness, dedication, and service to others. He peacefully passed away on Saturday, September 27, at 3:30 p.m. at Woodstock General Hospital, with his daughter Sheila at his side.

Ron operated a mixed family farm near Gobles for much of his life and later worked in horticulture at Art Haight’s Garden Center. A true gentleman, he approached life with empathetic consideration for others in everything he did. He and his wife, Margaret, were active in the community through politics and Knox Presbyterian Church, where he served as an elder for decades. They enjoyed spending January in Port Charlotte, Florida, bookended by time in Seminole, Florida, with his son and daughter-in-law. Summers were filled with cherished family memories at the original family cottage in Port Bruce, Ontario, including three weeks this past summer. Ron loved gardening, landscaping, and, in later years, became a successful orchid grower in his apartment.

He was predeceased by his wife, Margaret, in 2023, and is survived by his son, Jamie (Jennifer) Gregor; his daughter, Sheila Ashford; grandchildren Stephanie (Shawn), Spencer, and Sawyer (Karlee); great-granddaughter Kinsley; and his sister, Marie Gregor.

The funeral will be held at Brock and Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock. Visitation will take place on Friday, October 10, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., with the funeral service on Saturday, October 11, at 11:00 a.m. The service will be followed by a procession to Princeton Cemetery, with a reception to follow.
