It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Rosanne Marie Rita Raymond, affectionately known as Rose, on November 13, 2025, at VON Sakura House, with her sister Dorelle by her side. Born on May 28, 1946, in Desjardinsville (L’Isle-aux-Allumettes), Quebec, Rose cherished her French heritage and embraced a life filled with love and family.

Rose was a devoted mother and grandmother, a role she treasured above all. She leaves behind her beloved children: Jerome (Karen), Julie (Scott) Carter, Rick (Stephanie), and Jason (Rose), and her grandchildren, Justin (Kristin), Jesse (Courtney), Brandon (Calie), Mark (Mallory), Sunni (Avery), Chelsey (Byron), Natasha (Gabe), Perth (Mason), and Lillian Rose. She found immense joy in the company of her grandchildren, as well as her great-grandchildren: Nevaeh, Klara, Jaylah, and Oaklynn.

In addition to her immediate family, Rose is survived by her siblings Clarence (Marlene) Chaput, Alex Chaput, Dorelle (John) Van Hoof, Andrew (Helen) Chaput, and Henry Chaput (Stephanie Giroux Halliday), as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews, and extended family. She shared a special bond with her best friend, Gloria (Bill) White, who stood by her side through many of life's chapters.

Rose is preceded in death by her husband, Kevin Raymond, who passed in 2021, as well as her beloved parents, Eli and Gabrielle Chaput.

Throughout her life, Rose filled her days with simple pleasures and found happiness in small moments. She had a particular love for yellow roses, enjoyed camping with her family. Family gatherings brought her a sense of fulfillment, and she treasured participating in them. A quiet homebody in her later years, Rose would often be found sitting on her back deck, listening to the sounds of nature and observing the beauty of birds, while enjoying a cold beer.

Among her favorite indulgences were nachos at Crabby Joe's and fish dinners at Dover, which she looked forward to sharing with loved ones. In her younger years, she enjoyed travelling and trips to the beach, where cherished memories were made. For over 21 years, Rose was an active member of the Catholic Women's League (CWL) at Holy Trinity and fondly remembered her days of playing bingo.

Friends and relatives are invited to join the family at Brock and Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock (519-539-0004), for a time of visitation on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, from 2 to 4 pm and again from 6 to 8 pm.
