On May 23, 2025, with his daughter Monica by his side, Roy passed on to his heavenly home that was prepared for him by his Lord and Saviour.

He will be profoundly missed by his daughter Monica (David), and his daughter-in-law Ann (late Bentley, 2015), as well as his Grandchildren Meredith (Brad), Bridget (Robert), Joshua, Adam and Sarah and Great Grandchildren William, Holland and Heidi.
He is survived by his sisters, June Quick (late Robert), Bernice Haynes (late Keith), Mildred Ball (late John), Jean Hiscox (Jon), Donna Brant (late Robert), Gloria Martin (late Gordon), Carole Bragg (Doug) and Sisters-in-Law Edie Brouwer (late William), Jane Boskma (late Harold). A special thank you to Dr. Binh Vu for the wonderful care he gave Roy during his journey. Also to the staff and nurses at Woodstock Hospital on 2100-2200 (an amazing group of caregivers) and to all our friends that took time to volunteer to be with Roy and help him in his time of need. May God Bless you all! – Love Grace
