  • Russ Douglas Baxter, a cherished free spirit and seasoned journeyman, passed away suddenly on April 10, 2026, in his hometown of Ingersoll, Ontario. Born on October 2, 1969, Russ's life journey was marked by a restless and adventurous spirit, one that travelled many roads.

Born to the late Russ Baxter and Helen (Roger) Boiven, he carried forward their legacy in his unique way. Russ unconditionally loved his daughter, Kortlynn. He was a beloved brother to Kelly, Derek, Mary, Darryl, Ditchy, and Red, each of whom shared in the many memories of his vibrant life. His familial bonds extended beyond his siblings; he was a treasured uncle to many, holding a special place in the hearts of the younger generations. Moreover, Russ was regarded as a brother to many more, reflecting the deep connections and friendships he cultivated throughout his life.

His presence will be sorely missed in the community of Ingersoll, where his grounded beginnings and final journey came full circle. Russ Baxter leaves behind a legacy of courage, kinship, and the pursuit of life's many paths. In remembering Russ, we honor a man who truly lived life on his own terms, a free spirit whose memory will forever live on in the hearts of family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know him. May his soul rest in peace.
