CARTER, Ruth Dorene

It is with sadness, but in peace, that we announce the passing of our dear mother, Ruth Dorene Carter. Ruth passed after a brief illness in Belleville General Hospital on July 3, 2025. Predeceased by her husband Morris Albert (1986). Beloved mother to Linda (O'Neil) and husband Jim, of Belleville; and to Mark and his wife Areti of Shannonville; very dear to her heart her granddaughters Riley (husband Zac) and Morgan (husband Garret), and most recently her great-granddaughter Parker. Ruth is also survived by her brother Stuart Keyes, and his wife Gail of Caledon; and brother-in-law Jack Carter of Woodstock. Predeceased by sister-in-law Mert. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Ruth lived almost all her life in Woodstock. As a teacher, volunteer and golfer she was active in the community. She enjoyed many winters in Florida, and cherished her world travels. Most recently she loved her visits to the Carter farm to visit family and the horses. We are thankful for many wonderful years, but will miss our mom, and grandmother.

The family will receive friends at the Brock and Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, 519-539-0004, on Saturday, July 12, 2025 from 11am until the time of the Funeral Service at 12 noon in the Funeral Home Chapel.
