Boodoo, Savitrie 'Merle' 

With deep sorrow and heartfelt love, we announce the passing of Savitrie Boodoo, fondly known as Merle, who departed this world peacefully surrounded by her loving family on May 13, 2025.
Merle was the devoted wife of Soan Boodoo, cherished mother of Andy Boodoo, and beloved mother-in-law to Kelly Boodoo. She was also the adoring human to her loyal companion, her pet dog Bo, who brought her joy and comfort every day. 

Merle is survived by her dear brothers Barry and Rawle, and is now reunited in peace with her late brother Robby. She also leaves behind her closest and dearest friends, Savi and Mala, who were like sisters to her and shared a lifelong bond filled with laughter, support, and unconditional love. 

Merle was known for her gentle spirit, unwavering kindness, and her incredible ability to care for others. Whether it was offering a helping hand or simply being there to listen, she made a difference in the lives of all who knew her. Her heart was big, her smile warm, and her love for her family and friends was endless. Though our hearts are heavy, we take comfort in the memories we hold dear and the legacy of compassion she leaves behind. Her presence was a blessing, and her memory will continue to shine in all of us.

Family and friends will be received at Brock & Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave, Woodstock, ON (519-539-0004) on Tuesday, May 20, 2025 from 5pm - 8pm. A Funeral Service will be held at Holy Cross Cemetery & Crematorium, 620 Governors Road, Paris, ON on Wednesday, May 21, 2025  from 9:30am - 11am. Cremation will follow. Merle will be laid to rest back home in Trinidad at a later date.

For those who wish, the visitation and the funeral service will be live-streamed. Please note that if technology does not cooperate, they will be recorded and available for viewing at a later time.
