Shane James Bailey

Shane James Bailey, a beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on January 2, 2026, at the age of 67 in London, Ontario. Born on May 10, 1958, in Woodstock, Ontario.

Shane was the cherished son of Arlene Bailey (nee Penny) and the late Reginald Bailey, who predeceased him in 2010. He grew up alongside his sisters, Michele Fulkerson (husband Don), Marla Boakes (husband Kevin), and Melissa Brolese (husband Denis), creating a bond of sisterhood that would last a lifetime.

He was a proud father, leaving behind his son Christopher Bailey (wife Brandie) and his daughters Kimberly Bailey and Bethany Bailey. His role as a father brought him immense joy, and he took great pride in his children’s achievements and their journeys through life. Shane was also a devoted grandfather to Alli Bailey, who brightened his days and filled his heart with laughter. He was also survived by nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, and cousins.

Shane's life was further enriched by his common-law spouse, Shelley Finlay, with whom he shared companionship and love. Together, they embraced the joys of family, welcoming stepchildren Shauna (husband Andre) and her children Kinsleigh and Theo, Stephanie (husband Kyle) and their children Madden and Waylon, and Kristen (husband Dave) and their child Cru into their lives.

He retired in 2025 after a long career working with individuals with disabilities at both Oxford Regional Centre (ORC) and Ingersoll Support Services.

Visitation will take place on Thursday January 8, 2026 from 12 noon- 1 pm followed by a Memorial Service at 1 pm at Brock and Visser Funeral Home (845 Devonshire Ave. 519-539-0004)
