We are heartbroken to share that we unexpectedly lost our beloved mother, Sharon Ila Meloche, on July 1, 2025, to a sudden illness. Her sons were by her side.

Sharon (née Harburn) was predeceased by her mother Elaine, father Donald, and brother David, all of Woodstock. Heartbroken, she was parted from her cherished husband, Brian, in 2021, the love of her life, who passed away after a brave battle with cancer. She left behind the family she founded, nurtured and loved, her sons, Kurtis (Anna) and their children Ila and Wyatt; and Philip (Sandra), and their two children. Sharon’s four grandchildren were the center of her world and not a day passed where she wasn’t simply, “Grandma.”

Sharon spent much of her life in Woodstock, where she fostered friendships, and built a community through her work at the bank, volunteering and associations. She and Brian followed opportunity to Pickering and then Carlisle, where they created a beautiful home that served as an oasis for their children and grandchildren. They traveled close to home with their dear friends in their classic car group, and explored the world further on cruises and other adventures. Sharon spent her final years in Carlisle making new friends through knitting and neighbours. But her passion was creating beautiful traditions with her grandchildren. Attending every sporting event and recital, running ‘Grandma camps’ in the summer and making every Christmas, birthday and visit something each of the children looked forward to.

Through her life Sharon was a constant supporter of various charities including the Canadian Cancer Society, as well as Sakura House in Woodstock and Jurvinski Cancer clinic for their generous care of her mother Elaine, and husband, Brian. A celebration of Sharon’s life will be held at the Brock and Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, ON N4S 8Z4 on Sunday, July 27, 2025, from 1 pm - 4 pm. Her sons and their families welcome everyone who knew and loved Sharon to attend and share their memories.
