Sheila Joan (Anderson) Campbell, born on March 22, 1939, passed away gently on July 5, 2025, in Woodstock, reunited with her beloved husband Wayne, who predeceased her in October 2024. Her life was marked by love, kindness and an unwavering faith that touched the lives of those around her.
Sheila grew up on the family farm near Hockley Valley and after completing her education, began her career as a nurse. As her family grew, she transitioned into the role of a devoted stay-at-home mother, making sure that life ran smoothly for their family. In addition to her responsibilities at home, Sheila then played a significant role in the success of Wayne’s dental practice, serving as the office manager. Her skills allowed Wayne to focus on patient care while she managed the administrative tasks that kept the practice thriving.
Her life partnership with Wayne was a beautiful love story, characterized by deep Christian faith and love for each other. Married almost 62 years, they created a nurturing environment for their family, filled with love and laughter. A member of Hope Church Innerkip, Sheila's deep faith contributed to the community around her, inspiring those who were blessed to know her.
Following her retirement, Sheila enjoyed being with her grandchildren, often traveling long distances to be with them. Each visit brought her immense joy as she cherished the time spent with them, continuing to be a significant presence in their lives.
Sheila is predeceased by her husband Wayne, who passed in October 2024, and her daughter Shelley Stringer. She is survived by her daughter Allison Denmark (Matt) and son Ian Campbell (Kristen). Sheila's legacy continues through her cherished grandchildren who knew her as “Grammy”, Will (Adriana), Luke, Cole, Caleb (Angela), Abby, Jordan, and Joseph, as well as her great-grandchildren Shelley, Liam, and Rowan. She is fondly remembered by her brother-in-law Mac Campbell, and sisters-in-law Pat Campbell and Lynne (Fred Giles) Laverty as well as cousins, nieces and nephews.
Sheila will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege to know her. Her life remains a testament to the power of love, faith, and family. If you so desire, donations to Woodstock Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.
A celebration of life will be held at Hope Church Innerkip (Innerkip Presbyterian Church) (64 Blandford St. Innerkip) on Saturday August 23, 2025 at 3 pm.
