Stephen Boyd Good

Stephen Boyd Good, born on April 4, 1961, in Kingston, Ontario, passed away on November 1, 2025, in Kitchener, Ontario.

He was the proud father of Chlöe (Andrew), Liam, Anna (Matt), Phoebe, Paige, Max, and Bella, and cherished grandfather of two granddaughters, and eagerly anticipating the arrival of another.

Beloved brother of Sara. He is remembered by half-siblings John, Bruce (Teresa), Heather (Ron), Vaughan, Jane (Marc), Alan (Lindsay), as well as Robin (Valerie), and extended family who hold him in their thoughts and memories. A devoted uncle to Julian (Bailey), Isaac, and Theo. Preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Lin Good, and his brother Tim.

He leaves behind a legacy of compassion and creativity and will be missed not only by his family but also by many friends and distant relatives whose lives he touched.

An alumnus of Trent, Dalhousie, and Queen's Universities, Stephen had a diverse and impactful career as both a librarian and a lawyer. However, he will be most fondly remembered for his ability to engage people in meaningful conversations, bringing enthusiasm and insight to discussions. An avid reader with an intellectually curious mind, Stephen had a unique gift for making others' interests his own, often going the extra mile to offer thoughtful advice or ask thought-provoking questions. He enjoyed many hobbies throughout his life, such as writing, boating, cycling, acting, singing, and dancing. He took great comfort in nature and was perhaps happiest when he was by the water or in the warmth of the sun.

As we remember Stephen, we celebrate a man who embraced life with passion and kindness, leaving an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing him.

The family wishes to invite you to a visitation at Brock and Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock (519-539-0004), on Friday, November 14th, from 4 to 8 pm. A funeral will be held at the same location on Saturday, November 15th, at 11:00 am.
