Terrance "Terry" Melvin Pierce, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on March 1, 2026, at the age of 78. Terry was known for his vibrant personality and undeniable love for life, as well as his passionate devotion to family and animals.
Terry's life was characterized by an outgoing nature and an infectious big belly laugh that could light up any room. He grew up in Woodstock, where he developed a profound appreciation for craftsmanship and design. His diverse skills found expression in woodworking, carpentry, and home renovations, showcasing his artistic flair and dedication to excellence. He studied at the University of Toronto, began his career as a funeral director, and worked in pathology department at McMaster
Terry's professional journey led him in to the world of design and construction, where he contributed to the establishment of many well-known restaurant chains. His love for driving his Corvette and piloting boats reflected his adventurous spirit and zest for life.
Family was at the heart of Terry's being. He is survived by his devoted spouse, Marie, and cherished children Chris, Terri-Ann (Ryan), and Tracey (Brian). As a loved Papa, he took great joy in his grandchildren: Victoria (Matt), Nicholas (Michaela), Drew, Seth, Will, Pierce, Noah, Aly, Zach, Christian, Paige, and Chloe. He is survived by his great-grandchildren, Casey, Colby, and Ivy, who carry forward his unconditional love.
Terry is further survived by his brothers Ted (Jane) and Bob (Brenda), along with his special and loved siblings-in-law Bruce (Jill), Jeanne (Wally), and Mark. Additionally, he leaves behind many cherished nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his parents, Joyce and Brock, Terry's legacy of love, laughter, and unwavering commitment to family will forever be remembered by all who knew him. He will be profoundly missed, but the memories of his fully lived life will continue to bring warmth to the hearts of his loved ones.
Memorial visitation will take place on Friday March 6, 2026 from 1-2 pm followed by a Memorial Service at 2 pm held at Brock and Visser Funeral Home
