ARMSTRONG, Todd James
Todd passed away tragically as the result of a random act of violence on August 3, 2025, in London, Ontario. His unexpected departure leaves a profound void in the hearts of those who had the fortune of knowing him. Todd was 57 years old.
Todd leaves behind his mother Elaine Smith, his sister Tracey Clarke (Jim) and nieces, Meredith, Georgia (Nic) and Ella. He was loved by many aunts, uncles and cousins. Todd is predeceased by his step-father, Robert Smith and his father, Ivan Armstrong.
Todd dedicated much of his career to Tremblett’s Independent Grocer (formerly ValuMart) in Wortley Village, London, where he was not only known for his hard work but will also be missed dearly by his team. His commitment to his role exemplified his strong work ethic, a testament to his character.
Despite being a private person who tended to keep to himself, Todd held a special place in the lives of those close to him. Friends and family appreciated his quick wit and charming sense of humour, which brought joy to many moments shared together.
Outside of work, Todd found peace and pleasure in his hobbies and interests. He adored long walks around his neighbourhood. He was also an avid fan of movies and shows, and a devoted supporter of the Toronto Blue Jays. His passion for reading filled his quiet moments, providing both entertainment and escape, while he enjoyed the game of golf whenever the opportunity arose.
Todd will be remembered for his loving nature and the joy he brought to those around him. He deeply valued family, and the memories he created will continue to resonate in the lives of all who knew him.
Cremation has taken place. A private Celebration of Life is to be held.
In reflecting on Todd’s life, a final thought: "Do what you can, when you can. Life is short enough." As we remember him, let us carry forward his spirit of love and laughter.
