Walter "Wally" Ernest Harcourt, a cherished father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, left this world on December 9, 2025, at the age of 87 in Ingersoll, Ontario. Born on July 24, 1938, in Woodstock, Ontario, Wally was a man who embraced life with a generous spirit and a heart full of love.

Wally's life was filled with simple joys—he found comfort in enjoying a cup of tea and took delight in the soothing sounds of country music. His unwavering kindness and warm demeanor left a lasting impression on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. He was a man who found happiness in the little things.

He is survived by his loving daughters, Annette (Jamie) Clare and Kim Harcourt, who carry forward his legacy of warmth and compassion. Wally was a devoted grandfather to Daniel (Terri-Lyn) Clare, Tyler (Alex) Harcourt, Darryl (Stephanie) Clare, and Jenna Harcourt. His pride was visible in their achievements and laughter, and his gentle spirit will continue to guide them. Wally was also blessed with the love of his great-grandchildren, Olivia, Christian, Jacqueline, and Levi, who brought immense joy to his later years.

Wally's legacy is further enriched by his siblings Gwyn, Nona, and Jimmy, who will always cherish the memories they created together, sharing laughter, stories, and moments that have woven the fabric of their family bond.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Barbara, who passed in 2020, leaving behind cherished memories of their shared life. Wally also mourned the loss of his parents, Reginald and Clara, his brother, Wilf, and sister, Rosa, all of whom have left an indelible mark on his life. The grief of losing two grandsons, Zachary Harcourt in 2018 and Trevor Harcourt in 1992, was a burden he bore deeply, carrying their memories close to his heart.

A Celebration of Life will take place on December 14, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Brock & Visser Funeral Home Burial and Cremation Services Ltd. Woodstock Chapel in Woodstock, Ontario. This gathering will be a testament to Wally's enduring legacy and the love he fostered in those around him. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimers Society of Canada.

In remembering Walter "Wally" Harcourt, we celebrate a remarkable life filled with love, laughter, and cherished moments. He will be profoundly missed, but his spirit will forever remain in the hearts of family and friends.
