Wendy Anne Hicks passed away at Woodstock, Ontario, on January 21, 2026, at the age of 58. Born in London, Ontario, Wendy was raised in Woodstock, Ontario, where she spent most of her life and formed deep, lasting connections. She graduated from Huron Park Secondary School and Fanshawe College, building many lifelong friendships along the way. Later in life, Wendy enjoyed working as a florist and found great joy in travelling — both alongside her partner Bill and on solo adventures. Wendy was known for her dry sense of humour, her deep love of pets and wildlife, and her compassion for those less fortunate. 

She will be lovingly remembered for the many years she devoted to caring for her mother, Norma, and her late stepfather, Ron Turner. Wendy will be deeply missed by her partner of many years, William (Bill) Elliott. We take comfort in knowing Wendy is now reunited with her father, Garnet (Jim) Hicks, and her devoted and much-loved cat, Starski. She is survived by her beloved children, Charlotte and Kurtis Miller; her loving mother, Norma Turner; and her brother, Tim Hicks. 

Wendy’s wishes for cremation have been honoured. Family, friends, and all who knew Wendy are invited to attend a Celebration of Life on April 24, 2026, from 7:00– 9:00 p.m. at Brock and Visser Funeral Home. 

In lieu of flowers, donations in Wendy’s memory may be made to a local animal shelter or the Heart and Stroke Foundation
