Agatha Catharina Cornelia (Bruin) Bes

Agatha Catharina Cornelia Bes (née Bruin) was born in Waarland, Holland on August 4, 1939. She passed away peacefully on the morning of May 14th, 2023. She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Peter Bes. She will be deeply missed by those who called her mom: Linda Murray (Roger), Karen Van Ryswyck (Leroy), and Gerry Bes (Lisa Hendriks). She will also be in the hearts of her seven grandchildren, who knew her as Oma, and had the pleasure of knowing her into adulthood: Ryan Murray (Laura Gibson), Chantel Van Ryswyck (Hans van Lith), Brandon Murray (Jessica Lapkowski), Jake Van Ryswyck (Stephenie Killing), Celina Murray (Colin Pegg), Kallea Bes, and Logan Bes and one great-grandchild, Audrey Catharina Murray. Agatha was the oldest child of 11 brothers and sisters. She will be fondly remembered by her loving family and friends in Holland. Agatha was passionate about stamps, growing an extensive and carefully curated collection over the years; she was a long-time member and Past President of the Oxford Philatelic Society, and won the Lifetime Achievement Award. She also loved flowers, taking photographs, crocheting, sewing, and most of all, spending time with her family. We love you, Oma. A celebration of Agatha's life will be held June 4th, 2023 at the Embro Legion from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
