Allan Jones

(Frederick) Allan Jones, in his 77th year of life, passed away peacefully on February 1, 2023, at St. Marys Memorial Hospital, after a courageous battle with cancer.  Survived by his loving wife of 55 years, and best friend, Sharon. Loving Father of Kathy, Larry (Moya), Donna (Dale), Michael (Laura). Proud Grandfather of Fred, Ashlyn, Riley, Rhett (Destiny), Todd, Owen, Meagan, Parker, Adrianne (Michael) and Colin (Sarah). Doting Great Grandfather of Myles, Toby, and Colt.  Survived also by his sisters Marie (Jim) and Marlene, and brother-in-law John (Sheila). Predeceased by his sister Anne, and brother-in-law Jack. He will be fondly remembered by all his nieces and nephews, extended family, and friends.

 On top of Allan dedicating his love, wisdom, and time to his family, he was also a proud dairy farmer; an active member of his community; and devoted much of his time to not only his friends and neighbors but also his church by organizing and volunteering in all local events. Friends and relatives are invited to join the family on Thursday, February 16th, 2023, from 6 pm-8 pm for visitation at the Brock and Visser Funeral Home, 177 Dundas Street W., Thamesford. Cremation has taken place. The funeral service will be held at St George's Anglican Church at 172 King St, Thorndale, N0M 2P0, the following day, Friday, February 17th, 2023 with visitation at 1pm and service to follow at 2pm. 

The family would like to send special thanks to Dr. Potvin (LRCP) and Dr. Charles Gatfield, and staff, at St. Marys Memorial Hospital.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. George’s Anglican Church Thorndale and/or Canadian Cancer Society and may be arranged through the funeral home.
