Barbara Elizabeth (Cline) Dyer

DYER, Barbara (nee Cline) – of Thamesford, Ontario, passed away from Alzheimer’s on June 5th, 2021 in her sleep, in her 85th year. Loving and devoted wife of Frank Dyer of Thamesford for 65 years. Loving mother to Dr. Brenda Dyer of Vancouver B.C. and Ruth Dyer Glendon of St. Marys. Proud grandmother to Jonathan and Gabriel Glendon. Barbara’s passion was teaching, having taught in London and in several schools in the Thamesford area. Barbara was active in several teacher’s organizations, including the Oxford County Museum School. As a lifelong UCW member and president, she took seriously her many positions of responsibility in her church, both at a local and provincial level. Cremation has taken place, and a memorial celebration will be held at a later date with interment to follow at the Zion Hill cemetery. Donations in memory of Barbara may be made to the Westminister United Church Thamesford, and may be arranged through the Brock & Visser Funeral Home (519-539-0004).
