Bernice Elizabeth (Tykoliz) Wismer

WISMER, Bernice  – Passed away peacefully at her home, on Tuesday, May 12, 2020.   Bernice Elizabeth Wismer (born Bronislawa Tycholiz [Tykoliz]) of Woodstock, in her 96th year.  She was predeceased by her husband, Earl, in 2001; they were married September 27, 1943. Dear mother of Ken Wismer and his wife Sheila of Woodstock, Larry Wismer of Collingwood, Wes Wismer and his wife Lauren of Embro, and Charlene Wismer of Woodstock. Loved Bobbi of Kimberley, Paul (Tina), Michael (Emerald), Elisabeth (Mike), Joshua (Amber) and Jonathan (Melanie); Bobba to Mason, Abbigail, Addison, Zoey, Quinten, Brantley, Ella and Claire. Bernice was predeceased by all of her siblings – seven brothers and one sister. Bernice and Earl were well-known in Woodstock and vicinity for the numerous businesses they owned since 1946 – one of the most popular was the Twin Elms Drive In Restaurant, better known as “Wismer’s”. She was a member of the Rebekah’s Lodge.  A private interment will take place at the Princeton Cemetery.  A Memorial Service will be held at a later date when gathering restrictions are lifted If desired, contributions to the Alzheimer Society, Care Partners or St. Elizabeth Health Care would be appreciated and may be arranged through the Brock & Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock. 519-539-0004.   Condolences may be viewed and shared at www.brockandvisser.com
