Bruce Edward Joseph Gordon

GORDON, Bruce Edward Joseph- Passed away peacefully. Surrounded by his loving wife and family on Thursday, October 14th, 2021 at the St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital, in his 83rd year. Beloved husband of Carole Gordon for 62 years. Loving father of Steve (Laura), Bill (Shelley), Sharon Roberts (Tim) all of Thamesford, and Bob (Trish) of Dorchester. Proud grandfather of 8 grandchildren; Matthew Roberts (Nicole), Nicole Roberts, Samantha Henderson (Kyle), Justine Boll (Keith), Valerie Gordon (Nate), Randy Gordon of Thamesford, and Nick and Luke Gordon of Dorchester. He adored his great-grandchildren Leah, Jade, Blaine, Cameron, Payton, and Brody, and his great-grandbaby due in November. Predeceased by his parents Eleanor and Harold Gordon, and brothers George, Jim (Late Mary), Donny and Harold (Fran), sisters Dorothy Hagen, Eleanor and Alice Hinchberger (Late Tom), and infant brother Bobby, and by his father and mother-in-law George and Violet Goetz. Survived by his in-laws Douglas Goetz (Late Betty), Richard Goetz (Patricia), David “Jake” Goetz (Judy), and Audrey Bishop (Late Fred). Bruce leaves behind many nieces and nephews. Adored friend of Don and Janet Martin and friends at Golden Pond Resort. Especially Carol Clark (Late Andy), Nancy and Steve Lightfoot, Glen and Gail Tabor. He will be reunited with his friends Martin Kirwin, Dan Jones, Milne McCorkindale and Andy Clark who have gone before him. Bruce was a franchise salesman for 22 years with Dempsters Bread company and a school bus driver for 25 years with Elgie Lang Bus Lines. As per Bruce’s wishes, there will be no funeral. A celebration of life will be held on October 30th, 2021 from 1:00 to 5:00 PM at the Thamesford Arena with Covid restrictions in place.
