Cheryl Lynn Wood

On Monday, March 25, 2024, the world lost a strong, supportive, giving person.  It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Cheryl Wood in her 61st year.

Wonderfully devoted to her children Christine (Ian) and Adam (Stacey).  She delighted in her role as Nana to Benny and Keltie.

Sister and friend to Wanda (Rick) and Aunt to Allison and Branden. Cherished by many friends and family.

Predeceased by her loving partner Wayne and her parents Mary and Gord (Pa).

Cheryl believed in hard work and spending quality time with good friends.  She celebrated life by enjoying music and dancing, bright colours, dogs, chocolate, a beautiful moon, sunsets, ice cream, laughing with loved ones, fresh air and sunshine and so much more.

Cheryl lived her life in service. As a foster Mom for over 34 years and a daycare provider, she opened her home and heart to well over 200 children.  She saw the bright light in the children she loved and guided, and she encouraged them all to shine.

Cheryl’s warmth, spirit and zest for life will live on in all the lives she touched.

A celebration of life will be held at a future date.
