Debbie Louise Guy

August 13, 1955 - December 26, 2021

Debbie passed away peacefully on December 26, 2021, at St. Joseph’s Hospice in London, Ontario. Debbie is survived by Derek, loving husband of 34 years and adult children Devon and Darien. Also survived by her mother Carol and father Clare Orchard (died 2014), sister Susan Stuber (Fred), brother Brad Orchard (Denise), and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Many thanks to loving friends Cheryl and Ron Miller and to special friend Sandra Joyce.

Debbie worked as a student at the Thorndale Ontario Library of the Middlesex County Library system. Debbie was hired as a Branch Assistant in 1990 and promoted to Branch Supervisor in 2001. Debbie retired in February 2021.

Debbie also loved to travel the world on cruises to the Caribbean Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea. She sailed and flew to many countries in Europe, Britain, and the Far East with her lady friends. She was not afraid to try new experiences.

Many thanks to all the doctors and nurses at Victoria Hospital in London. Thanks to the doctors and nurses in the palliative care unit at Victoria Hospital. A very special thanks to the kind and caring nurses and PSWs at St. Joseph’s Hospice in London. They helped to ease Debbie’s pain through her hardest times.

Debbie was a brave lady and will be ever so missed by all her family and friends.

Friends are invited to meet with the family at the Brock and Visser Funeral Home Thamesford Chapel, 177 Dundas Street West, Thamesford Ontario on Friday, May 6th, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.  A memorial service will be held at the Thorndale United Church, Thorndale Ontario on Saturday, May 7th, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. and we kindly ask that everyone attending please wear a mask.
