Donna Phyllis (Wright) Hart

Hart, Donna Phyllis - Died in Woodstock, Ontario on December 22, 2021. Beloved wife and partner of the late Donald Hart. Mother of Sue (Kevin) Dolan, Doug (Sue) Hart, Heather (David) Tolton, Bob (Shannon) Hart and Marnie Hart. Loving grandmother of Callum, Andrew, lain, Rebecca, Maggie, Wesley, Kelly, Benjamin, Matthew, Cameron, Sandy, Morgan, Dufferin, Michael, Daniel, and Peter (deceased). Great grandmother to nineteen. Sister of Robert (Viv) Wright. Donna was born in Hamilton Ontario in 1932 and grew up in Burlington. She later attended Macdonald Institute at the University of Guelph where she met a handsome, young farmer from Oxford County. Donna and Don were happily married for sixty-two years. Donna tirelessly drove her children to countless swimming lessons, brownies, guides, cubs, and sea scout meetings, and play dates. She was involved in her community, volunteering for the Children's Aid Society and the Woodstock and District Developmental Services. She was a devoted and active long-time member of Chalmers United Church and later St. David's United Church. Donna was an enthusiastic bridge player and enjoyed many years of doubles with her partners, Marnie Tatham, Marjorie MacGregor, and Gwen Lake. At Christmas several years ago, Donna said "being older has its difficulties and you lose some things, but when I spent time with my great grandchildren, I notice that my capacity to love just keeps increasing.” Donna was the much-loved matriarch of her family, and she will be very fondly remembered by all. A celebration of Donna's life will take place at a later date.
