Donna Marie (Rudisuela) McGregor

McGregor, Donna Marie (nee Rudisuela) – Passed away at Victoria Hospital in London, Ontario on Saturday, June 4th, 2022 in her 68th year.  Donna was sincerely devoted to her family and the beloved wife of 31 years of the late Glenn McGregor (2007). She will be dearly missed by her daughters Bridget (Young Sang) of Seoul, South Korea and Ainsley (Przemek) of Mississauga, Ontario.  A devoted grandmother, she doted on her grandson, Gregor Lee. She will also be missed by her siblings Lynda Cantell, Alberta; Ken Rudisuela (Louanne), Grimsby; and David Rudisuela (Sheila), Alberta along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins. 

Born in Stratford, Ontario to the late Edward Lloyd and Dorothy Rudisuela, Donna attended Fanshawe College to become an early childhood educator. Over the course of 30 years, she was affectionately known as ‘Miss Donna’ by her young students at several schools including Little Red Schoolhouse in London, Tiny Tots in Ingersoll, and her own home preschool in Sweaburg. After retiring from teaching, she continued in a caring capacity as a hospice volunteer. She also selflessly devoted herself to caring for her elderly parents and in-laws and visiting other elderly relatives and acquaintances in long-term care facilities. Donna was deeply concerned about people in vulnerable situations, and she quietly worked to better the lives of strangers and loved ones alike.

The family would like to extend special thanks to those who cared for her during her illness including her best friend Gloria for her resolute bedside care, the staff of the oncology department at Victoria Hospital for their compassionate care, and her PSW Kim for her dependable companionship during the pandemic.

A memorial service will be held at Sweaburg United Church on Saturday, June 11th, 2022 at 2:00 pm with a small reception after the service. Masks are required inside the church. Burial will take place following the reception in Sweaburg Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Operation Sharing would be greatly appreciated.
