Doug Kennedy Obituary
Kennedy, John Douglas (“Doug”) Burton of Thamesford, Ontario passed away on April 9, 2020, in his 81st year. Predeceased by beloved wife Shirley Grace Kennedy (Hogg) in 2006. Loved father of daughter Victoria (Peter) Davis and son John (Krista) Kennedy. Loving grandfather of Kaelin and Ellen. Dear brother of Hugh (Marion) and Homer (Joan) Kennedy, brother-in-law to Bruce (Sara) Hogg (2017), and an uncle to several cherished nieces and nephews. Born in Ilderton, Ontario, Doug will be missed by many due to his extensive involvement in the community through his years of teaching, farming, sheep shearing, fastball, and volunteering. Thanks to all the health care teams at LHSC, St. Elizabeth, and Sakura House for their kindness. Cremation has taken place and a private service will be held at Zion Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Children’s Wish Foundation or the charity of your choice and maybe arranged through Brock and Visser Funeral Home, Thamesford (519-285-2427).
