McLEAN, Douglas Allan– Passed away on Sunday, February 14th, 2021, at his residence. Doug A. McLean of Iona Station and formerly of Woodstock in his 64th year. Husband of Denise Elizabeth McLean (nee Ball) for 35 years. Loving father of Cole (Chantal Dignard) McLean and Chase McLean. Cherished son of the late Robert and Zeta McLean. Loved son-in-law of Diana Ball. Dear brother of Charles "Chuck" (Denise) McLean, Cameron McLean, Stan (Cindy) McLean, Darrell (Deb) McLean, Chris (Gwen) McLean, Tom McLean, and brother-in-law of Kevin (Lisa) Ball and Jamie (Kelly) Ball. Also sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and numerous friends. Doug was part of the Labatt Brewing Company family for 28 years and he will be deeply missed. Over the years, Doug was instrumental in a number of major supply initiatives. He was on the original VPO implementation team and a part of the Canada-wide rollout. From 2010 to 2018, Doug was Zone Brewery Support Specialist – Canadian CAPEX Coordinator and most recently, he was the Manager of Canada Supply CAPEX. Doug played a key role in the domestication of Stella Artois and Corona at the London, Montreal, and Edmonton breweries. Doug was fiercely proud of his sons Cole and Chase. Chase followed in his father’s footsteps and continues to get things done at Labatt – just the way their Dad always did. Cole lives in Australia and is a true environmentalist which gave Doug great pride as well. A true friend and an outstanding team player who had a great laugh and left us with wonderful memories. A private family service will be taking place at a later date. Cremation has taken place. If desired, memorial contribution may be made to the Canadian Mental Health Association or Art 4 Animals Canada, (Be the Change: Create, rescue, foster, adopt, spay/neuter, volunteer, sponsor, donate & educate, https://www.art4animals.ca/ Info@art4animals.ca), and may be arranged through the Brock and Visser Funeral Home (519-539-0004).
