Eleanor E. Hill

Eleanor Hill, of Woodstock Ontario passed away peacefully in her 77th year at VON Sakura House on Monday, April 25th, 2022, surrounded by friends and her loving husband of 54 years.  She fought a courageous and sometimes extremely painful two-year battle against a rare form of skin cancer.

Eleanor is survived by her husband Allen, sister Marilyn and her husband Brian, In-laws May & Charlie, Meta & Victor, Sadie & David, Thomas & Beth, and her three children and their spouses, Duane (Sheila), Deanne (Greg), and Jason (Adrienne).  She will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by her grandchildren; Keira, Braeden, Ailish, Kacey, Devan, and Alexis, all of whom she loved and cherished dearly.  She will also be fondly remembered by her 12 nieces and nephews, and her many friends.

Eleanor is predeceased by her parents Ellsworth Gordon and Helen Luella Burrill, and her brother Kenneth.

Cremation has already taken place.

A celebration of life will be held at the Brock and Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock (519-539-0004) on Sunday, May 22nd, 2022. Visitation will be held from 1:30 p.m to 2:30 p.m. with service to follow in the chapel at 2:30 p.m..  For those wishing to make a donation in memory of Eleanor, please consider the Canadian Cancer Society, VON Sakura House, or a charity of one’s choice.
