Emily Ann Ferris

FERRIS, Emily Ann - It is with great sadness we announce that Emily, born May 28th, 1990, daughter of Roy Ferris and Deanna Ferris (Bakos), and beloved sister to Jessica and Meagan was called home to heaven suddenly on Tuesday November 30th. 

Emily had a zest for life that was supported and fostered by the love and devotion of Steve and Carol Harrington. Emily was and will continue to be an irreplaceable beacon of light that touched everyone she met with her infectious excitement and laughter. 

Although taken too soon, Emily accomplished many things, including obtaining her OSSD and being a recipient of the McTavish Award. Despite faced with some challenges, Emily's life was

filled with endless advancement, adventure and fun. She loved many things, but Christmas, music, swimming, zumba, soccer and bowling were her passions of choice.

Emily was exceptional. Her memory is etched into each person fortunate enough to have met her and she will forever hold a special place in the hearts and home of the Harrington's and their family.

Throughout the years, Emily has been loved and cared for by so many. Our families wish to extend a sincere thank you to HomeShare and Woodstock and District Developmental Services for the many years of support.

A time of visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 7th, 2021 from 10;00 a.m to 12;00 pm at the Brock and Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Avenue, Woodstock ON.  The service for Emily will follow in the chapel at 12:30 p.m.   If attending guests must RSVP on the funeral home website.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Special Olympics Ontario and Epilepsy Ontario would be welcomed and may be arranged through the Brock and Visser Funeral Home (845 Devonshire Avenue, Woodstock,  519-539-0004).  Expressions of love and sympathy may be placed and viewed online at www.brockandvisser.com
