Fitzarthur Ernando Higgins

HIGGINS, Fitzarthur Ernando – Passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, December 30th, 2021, in his 80th year.

Reverend Fitzarthur Ernando Higgins originally of Belle Castle Portland Jamaica.  He served in the Jamaican Constabulary force as a Police Officer where he specialized in Criminal Investigation and Narcotics Team Division for 12 years. He then migrated to Canada in the early 1970’s where he worked for Timberjack manufacturing company before becoming a Pastor and Founder of Increasing Faith Fellowship Church in Woodstock Ontario.

Reverend Fitzarthur Ernando Higgins is survived by his loving wife of 51 years Ivylin (nee) Henry Higgins, and his children Hillary, Michelle (Robert), Patrick (Gladys) and Ingrid, and 9 grandchildren.  Also survived by his stepmother Icylin Higgins, his siblings Marva (Leslie), Ricardo (Cheryl), Deanna, Marlene, Jimmy (Rose), Dawn, and by brother in-law Purcel (Janice), sister in-law Bulah, brother in-law Desland (Angela) many nieces, nephews, and numerous relatives

Reverend Fitzarthur Ernando Higgins is predeceased by his father Hernal and his mother Ethel.

Reverend Fitzarthur Ernando Higgins had a passion for God and His word. He loved God with all his heart, with all his soul and with all his might. He lived and breathed Romans 10:17 “Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God”.

Friends are invited to meet with the family at the Brock and Visser Funeral Home, on Friday, January 7th, 2022 from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm.  The funeral service will be held at the Increasing Faith Fellowship, 50 Finkle Street, Woodstock on Saturday, January 8th at 11:00 am. Interment to follow at Oxford Memorial Park Cemetery. 

 Guests must RSVP through the funeral home website to attend both visitation and/or service.  Masks are mandatory and Covid protocols in place. 

If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario or the Lung Association and may be arranged through the Brock and Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, Ontario (519-539-0004).
