George "Ken" Kenneth Hogg

HOGG- George Kenneth, Passed away peacefully on November 11th,2019 at Sakura House, in his 90th year. Beloved husband of Dorene Hogg (nee Simpson) of 65 years. Loving father of Barbara (Mike) Wilkins, Marilyn (Tim) Fleischer and Robert (Barbara Sommerville) Hogg. Cherished grandpa/pops of 11 and “GG” to 14. Dear brother-in-law of Robert and Barbara Simpson. Predeceased by his parents Gordon and Grace Hogg, his brother John MacKay “Mac” Hogg, parents-in-law Mark and Jean Simpson and sister in-law Donna Ernest. Ken will be missed by special friends Kjeld and Diane Mikkelsen and family. Fur-ever missed by his trusty companion Daisy. Also survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend a thank you to all the wonderful caregivers at Southwest LHIN, Alexandra Hospital and Sakura House for all the care given in Ken's final days. The family will receive friends and relatives at the Brock and Visser Funeral Home, 177 Dundas St., Thamesford (519-285-2427) Friday November 15, 2019 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 6:00 to 8:00 PM. The service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Saturday November 16th, 2019, at 11:00 AM with Pastoral Care Gerard Hamoen officiating. Burial to follow at the Zion Hill 7th Line Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Westminster United Church, Sakura House, and Alexandra Hospital and may be arranged through the Funeral Home.
