Joan Little

LITTLE, Ethel “Joan” (nee Robertson) - Our dearest loved Mother and Grandmother, Joan Little peacefully passed , in her 90th year, at Sakura House, Woodstock, Ontario. Joan was born October 6, 1930 in Galt (Cambridge) Ontario. She is predeceased by her parents Vera Phillips and James Robertson; loving husband Jack Little; sister Shirley (Alex) Smith, brother-in-law and sister in-law Alexander “Pat” (Loraine) Little. Sister to Bill Robertson. Joan holds a very special loving spot in the hearts of her family; her Son, Kerry Little and Daughter in law, Cindy Little of Woodstock. Cherished by Granddaughter Jackie Little (Jamie Wilson), Kitchener. Step Grandma to Sarah Watson (Patrick) of Ottawa, Karl Mittlefehldt (Sylvia) of St Thomas. Especially loved and adored by Great Grandchild, Jasmine; and her 5 step Great Grandchildren Peyton; Brighton; Clara; Harold; and Violet. Dear Aunt to Michael (Barbara) Smith, and Peter (Janice) Little of Cambridge Joan has resided in Woodstock with Kerry and Cindy at their home since 2017. She loved to relax in her “queen” chair to watch her tv, watching the bird feeder outside her window, dogs walking by with neighbours and reporting the weather to us. Joan resided in (Galt) Cambridge, Ontario her whole life. She was a homemaker, devoted and loving wife to Jack , and most cherished Mother to Kerry. She loved her family, many pets, summers in Port Severn, cooking, and story telling of her family’s history and special times with all. Her family sends a sincere thank you to Dr. William Wong (Cambridge), Dr. Karen Fryer, Sakura House, St. Elizabeth Nursing team, Care Partners PSW team (especially Rifka), and VON Home Care (especially Julie). Arrangements entrusted to Brock & Visser Funeral home, Woodstock. Cremation has taken place. A private family celebration of life to take place at a later date. Internment at Mount View Cemetery, Cambridge.
