SMIT, Joseph Ysbrand Gerardus - It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Joe at University Hospital, London, on Wednesday, December 21st, 2022, in his 66th year surrounded by his family. Dear husband to Miritza Smit-Urrieta for 22 years. Proud father of Justin, Ryan and Hillary Smit. Loved brother of Ineke (Jos), Eric (Janette), and Annemieke (Roy). Eldest son of Leo Smit and Annie Smit-Hemels from Holland. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews, and extended family in Holland and Venezuela.
