Joyce joined the Royal Canadian Legion in 1980 and was an avid member of the Southgate Seniors Centre for over 30 years. She spent much of her time in her vegetable gardens and would spend hours canning her vegetables. Joyce was an amazing bridge player and she enjoyed teaching it as well.
