Broadfoot, Julia Mary (nee McGee). With heavy hearts, the family of Julia Broadfoot announces her sudden passing at home on Friday evening, March 11, 2022. Julia was in her 77th year and the beloved wife of John (Jack) Broadfoot. Loving mother of Patti Broadfoot, June (Joe Cleroux) Broadfoot, Christine (Scott Bishop) Broadfoot. Cherished Gramma of Samantha (Justin) Wright and Ryan Underwood; Samantha Cleroux, Meghan Cleroux, and Emily Cleroux; Kaylyn Soper and Emma Bishop. Great-Gramma of a special great-granddaughter Nell Wright. Dear sister of Marie (Ken) Finch, brother, Tom (Shirley) McGee, and sister-in-law of Bob (Donna) Broadfoot, Mary Smith, Jean Provost, Helen (Dave) Weigel, and Jim Broadfoot. Survived by many nieces, nephews, and extended family. Born in London on August 9, 1945, to Bill (William) and Helen McGee (nee Kittmer), Julia was raised on a farm outside Kintore with her siblings Marie and Tom. Julia started her working career in Woodstock for Dr. Mac Rowe. Julia and Jack met at Junior Farmers and married on July 31, 1965, settling in Thamesford. Proudly becoming a mom, she stayed home to raise her three daughters. Julia went back into the working work, joining the dental team of Dr. Bob Houston. Julia is well known for her kindness and compassion, sewing, baking, and prize-winning gardens. She was an active member of Westminster United Church and the UCW. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Donations may be made to the UCW, Heart & Stroke Society, or the Canadian Cancer Society.
