June Hannah (Marston) Rogers

June Hannah Rogers- Passed away peacefully on July 19, 2022, just past her 97th birthday.  June was predeceased by her husband, Wilfred Vernon Rogers, son Harold Douglas Rogers and his wife, Carolyn, her grandsons Brady and Declan, her parent Robert and Rose Marston, and sister Grace McGlashan and brother-in-law Dugald McGlashan.

June is survived by her son, William (Bill) Rogers, (Cathy), and daughter-in-law Barbara Rogers.  Grandmother to Charlene Whitelaw (Tom), Michael Rogers, Mark Rogers, (Susanne), and Bryan Rogers (Sarah).  Great grandmother to Zoey Whitelaw, Benjamin, Emily, Charlotte Rogers, Lauryn Rogers, Aidan, and Hannah Rogers.

June was a proud member of the St. Mary’s and Exeter Rebekah Lodge, the Thorndale Lioness, and the Thorndale United Church.  June was a dedicated and community-minded person who spent many hours volunteering for many organizations like Canadian Cancer, Heart and Stroke Society.  June enjoyed knitting items for several hospitals in the area.  June and her husband Vern spent several years operating the Thorndale Pro Hardware Store.  They made many friends during their lifetime in the Thorndale area.

June is survived by nieces, nephews, the family of her sister Grace.

In lieu of flowers if desired donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
