Lawrence "Larry" Howard LeGallais

The family would like to invite friends and relatives to join in celebrating Larry's life on Saturday, October 1st, 2022, at Brock and Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock. The service will take place in the chapel at 2:00 pm followed by a time of gathering in our reception lounge. 

LeGallais, Lawrence (Larry) passed away peacefully on July 9, 2022, at Sakura House in Woodstock knowing how very much he was loved. He will forever be in the hearts of his wife Elly (nee Pond) and his daughters Laurie (Randy Hicks) and Catherine. He will be dearly missed by his beloved grandchildren Simon, Gabrielle and Sacha, of whom he was so fiercely proud, as well as by his brothers-in-law Gerry Pond (Anne) and David Wright and many extended family members, friends and neighbours.

Larry was born in Baie Trinité, Quebec, on May 26, 1937.  He later moved to Trois-Rivières, where he met Elly, the love of his life. Larry was a loyal company man who worked for 40 years in sales and marketing at Timberjack. He spent most of his career in Quebec City but had colleagues around the globe. He also loved to fish, curl, golf and ski, and was an avid Habs fan. He and Elly travelled extensively in their 57 years of marriage, enjoying good food and wine together at every stop.

As per his wishes, Larry has been cremated and a celebration of life will be held at a future date. In lieu of flowers, if desired memorial contributions to Sakura House, the Woodstock Hospital Foundation, the London Regional Cancer Program or a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
