After a massive stroke, the good Lord has taken Lloyd home.
Lloyd is survived by his daughters, Margaret Masters (Rene), Heather Masters (Neil), and April Herod (Oliver), 5 grandchildren Connor and Brock Mudford, Violet and Gregory Herod and Sylvan Delafranier, his brother Gerald Masters (Carol) and his nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his wife Violet Masters (nee Westlake) in 1993, and his parents, Burns (1986) and Margaret Masters (1982).
Besides being a dedicated family man, he also served the Knox Presbyterian church of Embro on the board of directors and as an elder for 35 years. Lloyd was a hard worker and provided solely for his family as a dairy farmer and cash cropper. He loved his land and his cows and took care of them with pride. He was able to stay on the farm and spend his final days there surrounded by his children and grandchildren who loved him dearly. He will be forever missed, and his strength and love will stay with his family forever as they remain on the farm he loved.
A special thanks to Dr. Orchard and her team, Sharon and SEHC, the community medics, the PD unit at Westmount KCC, Christina for her help with nights, the staff at Caring Services for Seniors, and all the staff at Victoria Hospital for all their thorough care during admissions and ER visits over the past few years. A very special thanks to Charlene Pye for all the care and support she has provided over the last 18 mos; we could not have kept him at home without all of your help and support. Thank you to all our friends, family, and community for all the lovely support and text messages received during the last 6 week’s of Lloyd’s life.
