Patrick "Pat" David Johnston

It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of Patrick David Johnston, age 62, at Tillsonburg Hospital on Saturday, March 27, 2021.   Pat was born in London, Ontario on February 11, 1959. He was son of Mary (Rossiter) and the late Rainsford Johnston (1980). He was raised in a large loving family with five surviving brothers; Wayne, Chris (Brenda), Alan (Kim), Norman (Crystal) and Dan (Sue).  He worked at Ingersoll Fasteners for 30 years, until the process of its closure began in 2008. He had many roles during his years at Ingersoll Fasteners including; machine operator, foreman, union Rep, health & safety, shipping supervisor, and quality assurance. The last several years he worked in the maintenance department for TFT Global Inc. out of Ingersoll.  He married the love of his life, Nancy Little on Nov. 5, 1983. They just celebrated their 37th wedding anniversary. His family was an important part of his life and he was a devoted father to Sarah (Mike Korevaar) and David (Melissa McIntyre).  Pat’s family and friends will always remember him for his great sense of humour as well as his many interests and passions including; spending time with his wife and children, helping others, working with his hands, reading, cooking, camping, atving, playing baseball, fishing, surrounding himself with nature, especially up at the cottage on Kenogami Lake and at his country home near Tillsonburg.  He will be greatly missed but forever in the hearts of his friends and family including; his father-in-law Stuart Little, sisters and brothers-in-law Anne Marie & Tim Pauli, Susan & Brad Lake. Life-long friend Rick Wale. Many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and all the grand-pets.  Pre-deceased by his infant son Christopher, grandparents, two nephews Kevin and Jason Johnston and mother-in-law, Ruth Little.  Memorial Donations can be made to Brownsville Firefighters Association.  A special thank you to Brownsville Firefighters, Oxford EMS and police for their assistance.  Due to Covid-19, a private family service will take place at the Brock and Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave. Woodstock (519-539-0004).
