Peter Kuiper

KUIPER, Peter – of Woodstock and formerly of Stratford passed away at the Woodstock Hospital on Thursday September 29, 2022, in his 93rd year. Born in the Hague, Netherlands, he was the son of the late Cornelius and Alice (nee TenHope) Kuiper. Peter was employed as a drafting teacher at Northwestern Secondary School, Stratford and retiring in 1979. He was a past member of Elgin Missionary Church, Stratford and more recently a member of Knox Presbyterian Church, Woodstock. He was the beloved husband of the late Anne (nee Knetsch) Kuiper (2011), and the late Anne (nee Oosterman,Jonkman) Kuiper (2021). Dear father of Angeline (Arno) Pleit, late Peter (late Robert Forsey) Kuiper, Robert (Cathy) Kuiper, Debora (Samm Brockhurst) Kuiper, Elizabeth (late Brent-2018) Gowdy, and Ron (Karen) Kuiper. Loving grandfather of Kelly (Chris) Lanktree, Kimmi (Landon) Martin, Kristi (Rae Kostal) Kuiper, Rebecca (Kristian) Deighton, Luke Bakker, Rachel (Dan) Thede, Aaron Kuiper, and Amanda Kuiper. Cherished great-grandfather of Emily, Megan, and Isabella. Dear brother of Gerrie (John) Bos, and is survived by his sisters-in-law Margaret Kuiper, Theresa Bakker, and his many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. Peter was also predeceased by his twin brothers Case and Henk Kuiper, his sister Jenny (Nick) Heykoop. Friends are welcome to join the family at the Brock and Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, 519-539-0004 on Tuesday October 4, 2022, from 5-8pm. A funeral service to honour Peter’s life will be held at Knox Presbyterian Church, 59 Riddell St., Woodstock on Wednesday, October 5th, 2022, at 11:00 am. Interment in the Clinton Cemetery.
