(Peter) Gary King Obituary

(Peter) Gary King was a beloved husband, father and grandfather “Pa” during his memorable 82 years of life. He passed away comfortably on October 4, 2023 with family by his side. He was a cherished husband to Marilyn (Morris) King for 62 years. Proud father of Debbie and Nancy. Devoted Pa to Katlyn (Adam) , Kendra (Dylan), Kenneth (Stephanie) , Cara , and Michael and adored great Pa to King, Aniaha, Heath, Jean, Emma, Abby, Ayden, Ava, Dominik, Madison, Alessio, and Joey. Predeceased by his parents Ab King and Marion Payne. Step Father Billy Payne.

Gary was born February 2nd 1941 in London Ontario. The majority of his life was spent living in Ingersoll Ontario where he became a familiar face around town. He was Owner/Operator of Rayside Repair for 20 years, Co Operator of Oasis Flee Market and a regular at the local coffee shops. When he would take a break from work he enjoyed to travel to Mexico with his family and friends. Waking up early to chat with locals and walk the beach or take a swim in the ocean. Gary has always had a need for speed. Between his love of working on cars, attending vintage car shows or spending Friday nights for many years at Ohsweken Speedway watching sprint car races. Gary even built a 1949 Anglia that is still being driven today. Gary was a devoted grandfather. He loved to share his passion of cars with his grandkids by taking them to car races, car shows or letting them skip school to hang out at the shop and learn to fix cars. He will be greatly missed by all his family and wide circle of friends. He always enjoyed a phone call or visit with his many friends.

To honour Gary’s wishes no service or celebration of life will be held. A private family burial will take place at Ebenezer Cemetery. We thank everyone for their support. A special thank you to all who helped care for Gary. Thank you to Care Partners for coming to the house for the past 5 years. The doctors and nurses on third floor at Alexandra Hospital provided outstanding care. When you hear the next engine roar take time to remember Gary. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice. Services entrusted to Brock and Visser funeral home in Thamesford.
