Stephen Clark Thorne

THORNE, Stephen Clark- Stephen Clark Thorne, 44, departed this life unexpectedly on September 23, 2021. He was born July 19, 1977. He was a wonderful father to Alexander, Zachary, and Charlotte. He was also the much beloved son of Brenda (Eaton) and Phil Thorne. Stephen leaves behind to cherish his memory his parents and children; his twin brother, Matthew; his sister, Andrea Milne and brother-in-law Andrew; and his niece, Ruth Milne. Stephen was a wonderfully talented pianist. During COVID, he played for his church on their livestream videos. He was also an avid curler and became a founding member of the Lone Star Curling Club in Austin, Texas. He was chosen to throw out the first rock to open the season in their new dedicated ice facility. Stephen was an avid baseball fan as well, following the Toronto Blue Jays all of his life. Stephen attended the University of Waterloo, the recipient of several scholarships. He studied Systems Design Engineering. He first worked for National Instrumental, which brought him to Round Rock, Texas, twenty years ago. From there, he worked for Research in Motion, and was currently working for Out Systems. Stephen was a loving father to his three children, and he will be greatly missed in their lives. He was a gentle and caring soul. Friends are invited to visit with the family at the Brock and Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Avenue, Woodstock, ON. (519-539-0004), on Tuesday October 26, 2021, from 6 pm to 9 pm.  The funeral will take place on Wednesday October 27th, 2021, at 2:00 pm in our Chapel with a burial to follow at Oxford Memorial Park. Visitors are required to RSVP for both the visitation and service on the Funeral Home website www.brockandvisser.com.  Memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada would be appreciated and may be arranged through the funeral home.
