Jackson, Sylvia Shireen H. (nee Reynolds)

February 23, 1938 – August 31, 2022

Beloved wife of Percy E. Jackson for 60 years. Loving Mother of Brian (Diana) of Woodstock, and Kevin (Sandy) of Innerkip.  Dear Grandmother of Rob (Erica), and Rick (Jessica) of Woodstock, Matthieu Thibodeau (Renell) of Fort McMurray, Shaylyn (Collin) of Tavistock, and Quinn of Woodstock.  Great-Grandmother of Austin, Declan, Jordyn, Brooklyn, Emma, Evie, Penny, Macey, and many nieces and nephews. Sylvia was predeceased by her parents Reg and Vera Reynolds, sister Jean Boucher, son Donald (2004) and grandson Timothy (1981).  Mom could always be seen following her boys and their kids around the hockey rinks and the ball diamonds either watching or scorekeeping.  She always kept the officials honest when spectating.  Her favorite pass time besides following the kids was the Country Western Dances and bowling and volunteering at the Canadian Red Cross in Woodstock and of course Bingo as she played lots and helped many groups with the Bingo fundraisers.  Mom also sold Avon for many years.  We would like to thank the staff of Woodingford Lodge and the nurses of Woodstock Hospital for their care of Sylvia during her stay.  As per Sylvia’s wishes, memorial contributions to the Woodstock Hospital would be appreciated. Friends are invited to meet with the family at the Brock and Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock on Monday, September 12, 2022, from 2 – 4 p.m. and 6 – 8 p.m.  The funeral service will be held in the chapel on Tuesday, September 13, 2022, at 11 a.m.  Personal online condolences at www.brockandvisser.com
