Wayne Fredrick Green
September 12, 1952 – June 12, 2020
Wayne passed away at his home in London after a short battle with cancer, on June 12, 2020, surrounded by his family. He leaves behind his wife, of 30 years, Karen (nee Stanley), children: Trevor Green, Alicia Green and Samantha (Ryan) Green, step-children: Chris (Jen) Brooks, Shawn Brooks and daughter Jasmine VanEvery. Wayne also leaves behind his grandchildren: Ava and Austin, Jaden and Kyra, Deana and Darian, Juliet and his sister Sharon Birmingham. Predeceased by his first wife Deborah (nee Wood) 1980, parents Ted Green and Marie Green (Antony) and his brother Gary Green.
Wayne grew up in Ingersoll and Woodstock area before eventually moving to London, 5 years ago, to be closer to his Children and Grandchildren.
Wayne was employed by CAMI, in Ingersoll, where he was an active member of the Union especially in the building of the Local 88 Union Hall. After retirement, he continued to support the Union retirees. He loved to golf and would spend most of his weekends golfing with his friends. When he wasn’t on the golf course Wayne could be found watching the PGA Tour on TV.
Following Wayne’s wishes, cremation has taken place. If desired, a memorial contribution to the Canadian Cancer Society, the Canadian Alzheimer’s Society or a charity of your choice would be appreciated. Arrangements can be made through Brock and Visser Funeral Home in Woodstock. Due to the Covid-19, a celebration of life will be arranged at a later date.
