William "Bill" James Andrew Patience

PATIENCE, William “Bill” June 16- 1945 to February 7, 2021- It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of William “Bill” Patience peacefully with his wife Ann and daughter Debbie by his side. Loving husband and soul mate of Ann for over 51 years. Cherished father of Debbie (Randy) Wilson and cherished father-in-law of Annette Jones (Rob Jones). Proud grandfather of Courtney Wilson, Brittany Wilson, Brandy Schaafsma, Michael Schaafsma, and Joey Schaafsma. Lovingly remembered by his brother Bob (Donna) Patience. Sisters Karen Cox, Maryanne (Al) Priddle, and Lynn (Ray) Ingram as well as many nieces and nephews, family, and friends. Predeceased by his son Rob Patience (1992), sisters Norma Robinson, and Diane Brunton, his parents Jim and Ruth Patience, and brother-in-law Harry Priddle, and Fred Brunton. Born and raised at the Patience family farm in Thamesford. His careers included a printer, drywall, general foreman, and custodian. Bill was a people person who loved to talk and tell stories and spend time at his cottage. He was always hard working and loved to help family and friends. He liked to collect antiques and show his restored 1931 Pontiac at car shows. The family would like to thank Bob Patience, Randy Wilson, Michael Schaafsma, and Joey Schaafsma, Damyon Patsouris, and Austin Waller for acting as the pallbearers and seeing Bill through to his final resting place. Thank you to the nurses and doctors at the Alexandra Hospital for their special care and compassion, particularly Sylvy, Kelly, and Dr. Thompson. Visitation will be held at the Brock and Visser Funeral Home, 177 Dundas Street, Thamesford on Friday, February 12, 2021, from 4 PM to 8 PM. (You MUST book your time on the funeral home website as numbers are limited. You MUST remain in your vehicles until your scheduled time of visiting). A private service will be held by the family with interment at the St. Andrews cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation or the charity of your choice.
