Edward James MacQueen

MacQueen, Edward (Ed) James – Passed away peacefully at Woodstock Hospital with family by his side, on Sunday, July 28th, 2019 in his 85th year.  Cherished husband of Jane, loving father of Marci (Brian Beatty) MacQueen and Dave (Nancy) and stepfather to Bob MacLean (Kim).    Much loved grandfather to Zack, Julie & Dylan MacQueen and Abi, Lexi, Hailey & Kaiden MacLean.  Treasured brother to Clarence (Lois), Melvin (Mary), Thelma (Emerson) Murray, Archie (Nina), Mary (Paul) Holland, Brian (Betty), Jimmy, and Sharon (Bill) Hines. Also survived by brother in law Wayne (Ruth) Hamilton  as well as several nieces and nephews. 

Predeceased by his mother Winnie MacMullin and stepfather Danny, infant son Edward and  sister-in-law Marilyn.

Ed developed long lasting relationships through his love and dedication to hockey through his own professional playing career to youth development and coaching.  Nobody ever tired of listening to his rink stories. But most of all his love and passion were his family.

Prior to making one final journey to his Cape Breton home, a celebration of Ed’s life will be held at the Woodstock Navy Club, 959 James Street,  Woodstock ON on August 17th, 2019 from 1 – 4 p.m  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Woodstock General Hospital or the Kidney Foundation of Canada would be appreciated and may be arranged through the Brock and Visser Funeral Home, Woodstock (519-539-0004).  Online condolences at www.brockandvisser.com
