Freda M (Piltman) Hodgins

Hodgins,  Freda Marian -  age 89 of Ingersoll passed away peacefully on Friday, November 15, 2019, with her daughter by her side at the Alexandra Hospital in Ingersoll, Ontario. Freda was born July 11, 1930, to the late Mary and Julius Piltman who immigrated to Canada from Hungary in 1923 and eventually settled in Woodstock where Freda lived her entire life except for her last couple of years in Ingersoll. She is survived by her children Dale, Dean (Lili), Mark (Shirley) and Kelly (Harry) and grandchildren; Geoffrey, Andrea, Jason, Matthew, Brittany, Norman, Adam, Quin, Tarran Rae and several great-grandchildren.   Freda is pre-deceased by her husband Lorne Hodgins who left us in 2001 and her brother Julius Piltman who passed away in 2016.  She very much enjoyed her home, garden, children and grandchildren. Her home was always one of the best decorated and well-lit homes at Christmas time. Freda worked at Timberjack as executive secretary to the vice presidents of the company,  during the company's golden years in the 60's. She also worked for Timberland Equipment when they were assisting in building the CN tower. At the request of the deceased, there will be no visitation or funeral. The family will gather privately to commemorate her life and passing. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to Tim Hortons Foundation Camps and arranged through the Brock and Visser Funeral Home, Woodstock, 519-539-0004.
